Families
We have several different families of Longhorn cattle. They represent the core of our herd. We judge them on all the main qualities of the Longhorn breed being color, ability to raise a good calf every year, sound structure, feet and udders, and of course horn length is a factor. Not all cattle grow and mature at the same rate. Some of these families are slower growing and maturing with horn and size than others. There are cows that didn't reach 28 inches at at year but were mid 80's as an adult and went on to produce over 90 inch animals that are sound just as the parents are. That is what we call our foundation. We are very proud of the cattle we have raised over the years and have chosen to represent our program.
